Solid Tech Property Measurement presents an overview of overview of the suite of BOMA Building Area Measurement Standards, some key differences, changes over the years, and basic steps to control liability when measurements are tied to transactions.
This one and a half hour course goes over the following four primary learning objectives with an overview of the BOMA Building Area Measurement Standards to give a basic familiarity with them.
Learning Objective 1: Review a brief history of BOMA measurement standards, how they have evolved into a suite of six unique ANSI certified standards, and what makes that ANSI certification significant.
Learning Objective 2: Identify the basic characteristics of varying BOMA measurement standards for Office, Industrial, Retail, Multi‐Family buildings, their intended uses, and how the standard selection will affect the measurement result.
Learning Objective 3: Understand how the BOMA measurement standards for Gross Area and Mixed Use buildings integrate with the four use type specific measurement standards from BOMA.
Learning Objective 4: Describe the 6 Steps to take when measuring a building for lease agreements that will help manage your risk exposure.
